326 <br />0 <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder, offered the following <br />resolution: <br />ttRESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County of <br />Pan Mateo, State of California, that whereas said Council did on the <br />19th day of May, 1941, pass and adopt a resolution determining that <br />the City of Redwood City ho longer desired to be a part of the County <br />Free Library system; and <br />WHEREAS, said Council did set June 16, 1941, at the hour of <br />8:00 otelock P.M. at the meeting place of the Council of"said City of <br />Redwood City in the -City Hall on Middlefield Road as the time and place <br />for a'hearir_g on its .contemplated action and as the time for a.final <br />hearing on said matter; and <br />u <br />WHEREAS, as required by law a notice of said hearing was duly <br />published in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily newspaper of general <br />circulation, at least once a week for two successive weeks; and <br />WHEREAS, said Council has now acquired jurisdiction to proceed <br />with said matter, and said Council having fully considered the same <br />and any and all objections, does hereby resolve that -the City of Red- <br />wood City no longer,desires to be a part of the County Free Library <br />system and no longer desires to participate in the benefits thereof, <br />and hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of San <br />Mateo, State of California, to levy no further taxes against the prop- <br />erty in the City of Redwood City for County Free Library purposes. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at <br />a regular meeting thereof held on the 16th day of June, 1941, by' -the <br />following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: L. C, Christensen, E, A. Fletcher, F. D. Granger, <br />G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, H.
