332 <br />r{: <br />t fI <br />Public Works Division of Highways, <br />has presented a memorandum of <br />agreement in accordance with a project statement submitted by the <br />City for expenditure of the 1/4 cent gas'.tax for the 1941-43 Bien- <br />nium allocated for'Stat,e.highways in the City of Redwood City; and ff <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has heard read said agreement in full <br />and is familiar with the contents thereof; <br />THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City that said agreement for expenditure of the 1/4 cent gas <br />tax allocated for State highways -be and the same is hereby approved <br />and the City. Manager and the City Clerk are directed to sign the same <br />on behalf of said City. <br />ADOPTED this 7th day of July, 1941. <br />H. F. ELTRINGHAM <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City" <br />Councilman Werder, 'seconded by Councilman Christensen, offered the following <br />resolution: <br />"RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY , <br />ADOPTING BUDGET AND APPROVING MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT FOR EXPENDITURE <br />OF 1/4 CENT GAS TAX ALLOCATED FOR STREETS OF MAJOR IMPORTANCE. <br />WHEREAS, a memorandum of agreement has been presented to be en- <br />tered into with the State of California in accordance with a project <br />statement for.expenditure of the 1/4 cent gas tax for the fiscal year <br />1942 allocated for streets of major importance other than State high- <br />ways in the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has heard .read said agreement in full <br />and is familiar with the contents thereof; <br />THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Red- <br />wood City that said project statement be and it is hereby adopted as the <br />budget of proposed expenditures of the1/4 cent gas tax allocated for <br />streets of major importance other than State highways, and said agree- <br />ment be and the same is hereby approved and the City Manager and the <br />City Clerk are directed to sign the same on behalf of said City, said <br />agreement to be binding upon the City upon its execution by the author- <br />ized officials of the State. <br />ADOPTED this 7pth day of July, 1941. <br />H.
