In connection with an application by William H. Mudersbach and Luella D. Muders- <br />bach, for a permit to conductan auto sales agency at 2098 Broadway and a <br />and 2098 <br />Used car lot at 2092/Broadway, the Council expressed its willingness to <br />Issue a permit for the sales agency but was opposed to a used car lot <br />facing on Broadway. Mr. Mudersbach displayed a sketch of the premises and <br />after considerable discussion agreed that the space in the rear of the <br />building facing Jefferson Avenue would be satisfactory for the purpose. <br />Councilman.Werder, seconded by Councilman Christensen, offered a motion <br />granting a permit to conduct a sales agency at 2098 Broadwayand for a <br />used car lot in the rear of the building on Jefferson Avenue and for use <br />of the lot at 2092 Broadway for storage purposes,.provided the present <br />sign located on the lot were not removed until plans for the improvement <br />had been submitted to and approved by the Council. Motion carried. <br />Councilman Granger, seconded by, Councilman Christensen, proposed the adoption <br />of the following resolution: <br />"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City ghat the <br />Superintendent of Streets of said City be and he is hereby ordered and <br />directed under the provisions of the ordinances of said City,regulating <br />such matters, to cause to be erected an arterial stop sign at the fol- <br />lowing street intersection in said City, to -wit: <br />On the northeasterly curb line of Perry Street at the southeasterly <br />property line of Brewster:Avenue. <br />' Any person violating any of the provisions of this resolution by <br />failing to stop at said stop sign mentioned herein shall be guilty of a <br />misdemeanor and punished as provided in the ordinances of said City, regu- <br />lating such stop signs and authorizing the passage of this resolution. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the. City of Redwood City at <br />a regular meeting thereof held on the 7th day of July, 1941, by the <br />following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of'the passage of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen L. C. Christensen, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, <br />W. M. Werder, H. F. Anderson. <br />Noes and against the passage of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen None <br />Absent: Councilmen H. W. Edmonds, E. A. Fletcher. <br />H. F. ANDERSON ' <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Attest: <br />C. W.
