334 <br />On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the recreation <br />fund committee was granted permission to hold dances at the recreation <br />field on the evenings of July 19 and July 26. <br />On motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman McNulty, a contri- <br />bution to,the United Service Organization in the amount of $100.00 <br />r was authorized. <br />Resignation of Leo E. Fuller as a member of the Board of Review was accepted <br />on motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Granger. <br />Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen, then offered a <br />motion appointing Willis G. Frost as a'member of the Board of Review. <br />Motion carried. <br />An ordinance regulating parking and the method of parking upon streets of the <br />City of Redwood City was offered for introduction on motion of Councilman <br />Granger, seconded by Councilman,MeNulty. <br />City Attorney Mansfield reported he had prepared an ordinance regulating the <br />height of fences and hedges but felt it should be modified before intro- <br />duction. The matter was discussed and ordered placed on the agenda for <br />the next meeting. <br />Application for restaurant license by Vance Perez, 701 E1 Camino Real., was <br />approved on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Chris- <br />tensen. <br />0 <br />On motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman McNulty, Robert, <br />Donalson was granted permission to conduct a restaurant at 2321 E1 <br />Camino Real. <br />H. A. Grouleff was granted special permit to continue the poultry business <br />at 1462 Gordon Street, subject, however, to approval by the Health De- <br />partment, on motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman <br />Granger. <br />The City Clerk, on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Chris- <br />tensen, was directed to notify the Redwood City Exchange Club that it <br />.would be designated the official organization to head a campaign for <br />scrap aluminum in the -City of Redwood City subject, however, to instruc- <br />tions which the City may receive from the Governor with reference to a <br />mandatory appointment of official agencies. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen, the <br />City Treasurer was authorized to purchase 1915 Act Bonds No. 45 and <br />48, Series J-10,for the sum of $1,500.00. Carried. <br />
