3.48 <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Granger, offered a motion approving <br />Plans and Specifications for improvement of intersections on Brewster <br />Avenue and on Hudson Street, and improvement of Harbor Boulevard, Gas <br />Tax Projects 15, 16 and 17. Motion carried. <br />The City Manager advised the Council that Julia Blass was still conducting <br />a rooming and boarding house at 64 Grand Street although she was, on <br />June 2, 1941, directed by the Council to discontipue this business <br />within the next 30 days. The City Manager further stated that she had <br />been instructed to appear before the Council at its next regular <br />meeting to show ~why this violation was being continued. <br />The City Manager advised that bids were being taken for a "Climate Best <br />By Government Test" sign to be erected at Five Points and on motion <br />of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the City <br />Manager was authorized'to use his own discretion in this matter. <br />The budget, submitted by the City Manager for the year 19?1-1942, was ap- <br />proved and adopted on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by <br />Councilman Christensen. <br />Adjournment. <br />CZ, CZ, <br />CO W.
