i C. G.•Uhlenberg, special auditor appointed by the Council, submitted a re- port covering the examination of the books and accounts of the .City for the fiscal Iyear ended June 30, 1941, which was ordered filed. ' A letter signed by C.. L. Dimmitt, secretary of the Planning Commission, redommegding the removal of the set back restrictions established on the westerly side of Middlefield Road between Marshall and Bradford Streets, on the southerly side of Bradford Street between Middlefield Road and Hamilton Street, on the easterly side of,,Hamilton Street be- tween Bradford and Marshall Streets, and on the northerly side of Mar. shall Street between'Hamilton Street and Middlefield Road. Mr. W. H. Morrisey, representing property owners in the locality, spoke and after considerable discussion, an.' ordinance removing the set back lines in the above area was introduced on motion of Councilman Christensen, se- conded by Councilman Werder. Following this, Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Flet,eher, offered a motion setting October 6, 1941, as the date for a hearing in this matter. Lucius H. Billings addressed the Council relative to obtaining a permit for a client to locate a dog training school in the Friend Industrial Tract. The City Attorney advised that ordinances prohibited keeping of more than two dogs in one location except by a licensed veterinarian. Mr. Billings was diredted to submit written application together with drawings of the contemplated establishment at the next meeting and the matter would then be given further consideration. City Manager Dimmitt made an oral report on the recommendations of the Clean- . , Up_Campaign Committee and advised that provision -was being made to take care of many of the items included therein; also that several property owners had been contacted and indicated willingness to co-operate. The Council, being desirous of having all the matters mentioned in the report covered as soon as possible, requested the City Manager to submit a writ- ten report at the next meeting. At the request of the City Manager a report, on complaint of Clelia Bertini, 407 Oak Street, was held over until the next meeting. Park Superintendent Walsh reported that work had been started in cleaning shrubbery off sidewalks and would be continued as a regular program. An ordinance adopting rules and regulations covering the operation of the Redwood City Yacht Harbor was introduced on motion of Councilman Werdery. seconded by Councilman Fletcher,with the understanding that provision would be made in the ordinance authorizing the City to re- place unsafe or broken mooring lines at the expense of the boat owners 's and providing a penalty for boats entering into a designated swimming area.
