376 <br />s <br />In connection with the Clean -Up Campaign Committee recommendations, there <br />was read a letter from S. H. Page stating that arrangements were <br />being made for removal of the barn on his property in the vicinity <br />of Maple and Main Streets. <br />City Manager Dimmitt read communications from the owner of <br />the house at 318 Elwood Street stating that improvements were being <br />undertaken At once. <br />Ordinance No. 469, "An ordinance amehdingtOrdinance No. 30711 (Pound Ordi- <br />nance), was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Fletcher, <br />seconded by Councilman Werder. <br />Communications from Arnold Rumwell, attorney for Clelia Bertini and Peter <br />Formentini, were referred to the City Attorney for reply. <br />The following.resolution was unanimously adopted on motion o� Councilman <br />Werder, seconded by Councilman Fletcher! <br />°RESOLUTION.ORDERING PLANS, PROFILES, DETAILED DRAWINGS, <br />SPECIFICATIONS, AND MAP OR PLAT OF PROPOSED ASSESSMENT <br />DISTRICT NO. 1941-3 <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City, County <br />of San Mateo, State of California, that C. L. Dimmitt, City Engineer <br />of said City be and he is hereby ordered to prepare plans, profiles, <br />detailed drawings, specifications, map or plat of proposed assess- <br />ment district and estimates for doing the following work and making <br />the following improvements in said City of Redwood City, to -wit.: <br />That the northeasterly side of El Camino Real between Man- <br />zanita Street and Charter Street and also the southwesterly side <br />of said El Camino Real between Lincoln Atrenue and Center Street <br />be improved by being. graded and having constructed thereon and <br />therein cement concrete sidewalks four (4) inches thick and five <br />(5) feet wide, said sidewalks to be laid upon a base or cushion of <br />sand at least two (2) inches in thickness and of the full width of <br />said sidewalks; and.that cement concrete combined curbs and gutters <br />be constructed within the limits above described on both sides of <br />El Camino ,Real. <br />There is hereby excepted from the hereinbefore described work <br />and improvements any parts thereof that is already done to the line <br />and grade as shown on the plans, profiles and specifications men- <br />tioned herein. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City <br />at a regular meeting thereof held on the 20th day of October, 1941, <br />by the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen L. C. Christensen, E. A. Fletcher, F. D. Granger, <br />G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, H. F. Anderson. <br />Noes and against the passage•of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen None <br />Absent Councilmen: <br />H. W. Edmonds <br />H. F.
