MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER �, 1941 <br />8:00 P. M. <br />Upori roll call the following were present: Councilmen L.C <br />Christensen, <br />E. A. Fletcher, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, Mayor <br />H. F. Anderson, and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham; absent, Councilman <br />H. W. Edmond's. Also present were City Manager C. L. Dimmitt, City <br />Attorney Albert Mansfield, City Collector Nelle L. Miramontes, Chief <br />of Police C. L. Collins, Chief of Fire Department 14. E. Ryan, Building <br />Inspector L. M. Duncan, and Superintendent of Parks Roger Walsh. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of October 20, 1941, were approved on <br />motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />Sequoia Thimble Club was granted permission to hold a bazaar on November 7 <br />and 9 on motion,of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Granger. <br />A letteii6 from the Parks and Recreation Commission recommending that the Sequoia <br />Yacht Club be given exclusive use of the upper floor of the Yacht Harbor <br />Club House for a rental to be agreed upon by the City Council and the <br />Yacht Club, was read. <br />Dr. A. J. Fromm explained that the Yacht Club would make improve- <br />ments if this permission were -granted and that arrangements would be <br />made for use of the building by other organizations. It was felt that <br />further study should be given the matter before any permission for ex <br />r elusive use was given, and Mayor Anderson appointed the following com- <br />mittee to meet with a committee from the Yacht Club and report at the <br />next meeting: Donald Bogie,, -chairman; C. L. Dimmitt, W. M. Werder, and <br />.Albert Mansfield. <br />The .City Manager, in a letter addressed to, the Council, advised the following <br />appointments had been made to fill vacancies on the Parks and Recreation <br />.Commission: <br />Elmer K. Ross for the unexired term of F. F. Vanderborden <br />until April 12, 19&+3, and <br />S. E. Alberson for the unexpired term of Walter Peterson <br />until April 12, 1943. <br />The City Collector was authorized to accept the sum of $134.55 in full payment <br />of delinquent taxes, weed and bond assessments, and penalties, on Lot 13, <br />Block 12, Central Park, in lieu of $147.05, on motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder. <br />i <br />
