day of October, 1941, and which map or plat is now on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Redwood City, and to which map or plat reference is hereby made for an accurate and complete des- cription and location of said assessment district and the same is made apart hereof; provided, however, that all streets, circles and parks or portions thereof included within said assessment district and shown on the map or plat thereof shall be omitted from any assessment levied for the costs and expenses of the work aforesaid, said streets, circles and parks or portions thereof now being in public use as public streets, circles and parks. And notice is hereby given and the Council of the City of Redwood City does determine that serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of six per cent -per annum from their date shall be issued as provided by Section 5 of Article l of Ordinance No 333 of the City of Redwood City, commonly known as "Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance" to re- present each assessment of twenty-five dollars ($25) or over for the costs and expenses of said -work and improvements. Said bonds shall ex - 'tend from their date over a period of five (5) years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the 15th day of the next November following their date. All work provided for herein shall be done as provided in Section 3 of Article 1 of Ordinance No. .333 of the City of Redwood City, commonly known as "Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance," which ordinance was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 14th day of March, 1932, and is now of record and on file in the office of the Clerk of said City of Redwood City and to which refer- ence is hereby made and the same made a part hereof. RESOLVED, that said Council of the City of Redwood City hereby re- jects all of said proposals or bids except that next herein mentioned and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and making said Im- provements to the lowest, regular, responsible bidder, to -wit: G. 0. Meserve A at the prices named in his bid. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish a notice of this award twlce'in the Redwood City Tribune; a daily (except Sunday) newspaper published, printed and circulated in said City of Redwood City, and hereby designated for that purpose by the Council of. said City.
