1 <br />i <br />On motion of Councilman Werner, seconded by Councilman Granger, the fol- <br />lowing amendment to Section 1, Rule XI, of the rules governing the <br />personnel system was adopted: <br />"When an employee due to emergency or essential service. <br />is required to work overtime, credit shall be given for <br />such time and a corresponding leave be allowed to compen- <br />sate for such service and said leave shall be granted and <br />accepted within 90 days after the date of performance.° <br />Request of the City Manager for permission to construct a 611 water main <br />andinstall fire hydrants along E1 Camino Real from Center Street <br />to Oaktrood Drive, Oakwood Drive and Oakwood Boulevard east, total <br />estimated cost $6,135.00, was approved on motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen. <br />The following resolutions were unanimously_ adopted on motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty: <br />9 <br />11RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that <br />the hereunto annexed Easement dated the 26th day of November, 1941, <br />,and made between Eduard J. Derry and Helen D. Derry, husband and <br />wife, first parties, and the City of Redwood City, a municipal cor- <br />poration in the County of 'Ban Mateo, State of California, second <br />party, be and the same is hereby accepted by the City of Redwood <br />City, and the Clerk of bald City is hereby authorized and directed <br />to have said Easement recorded in the office of the Recorder of the <br />County of San Mateo, State of California. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood_City at <br />a regular meeting thereof held on the lst-day of December, 1941, by <br />the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor'of the passage of the foregoing resolution4a <br />Councilmen L.
