41-2 I -.WHEREAS, to mistreat these citizens might cause them�to become embittered against a nation which they have rightfully learned to regard as tolerainti, democratic and offering equality for all, and cause them to go into activities inimical to the best interests of this nation; and WHEREAS, if these citizens are not permitted to pursue their; normal activities they may be deprived of a means of earning a legiti- mate living and may be forced into unlawful pursuits: NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED that the- Council. of the�City of Redwood City hereby urges citizens to be tolerant, fair and just in their attitude toward and treatment of these racial groups.. AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if cases of suspected disloyalty involving members of racial group's from countries with which this nation is at war .come to attention of any citizen, he immediately com- municate with our properly constituted law-enforcement authorities, giving them what information he has. An ordinance amending an ordinance entitled "Ordinance No. 243, An Ordi- nance Regulating Public Dances in the Town of Redwood City, County of -Ban Mateo, State of California", passed'and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Redwood City on the 19th day of May, 1924, oras' duly passed and adopted by unanimous roll call of the councilmen present on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen. Said ordinance was introduced on the let day of Decem- ber, 1941, and is of record in Ordinance Book 4 at page 28 and is numbered 472.
