422 <br />Commission, requesting the placing of gates at the Rogers Street <br />railroad crossing and human wathmen at the Jefferson'and Maple <br />Street crossings. <br />In connection with the Clean -Up matter, Mayor Anderson reported that the <br />owners of property at 623 and 631 Main Street had agreed to remove <br />the unsightly buildings thereon, qnd the City Clerk was directed to <br />write the property owners that this be done by March 1, 1942. <br />City Manager Dimmitt reported the Secretary of the Housing <br />Authority had "verbally stated credit would be given for demolition <br />of old buildings prior to the commencement of the Housing Project, <br />and in view of this, the City Attorney and Building Inspector were <br />instructed to proceed with abatement of buildings located at 611 <br />Stambaugh and 630 Hilton Streets, owned by Henry R. Lown. <br />The matter of a delapidated building in the vicinity of Redwood <br />Avenue and Valota Road was discussed and ordered placed on the agenda <br />for the next meeting. <br />The matter of oaths of office for all City employees was ordered placed <br />on the agenda for the next meeting. <br />In connection with changing the names of certain streets in the Lenolt <br />Tract•, the City Manager submitted a list containing the names of <br />38 trees beginning with the letter "J". After reviewing the list 411.���JJJ <br />of names, it was decided to refer the matter back to the Planning <br />Commission. <br />The:�following resolution was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty: <br />"RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the <br />hereunto annexed Quitclaim Deed dated the 22nd day of January, 1942, <br />and made between C. Mildred Barger, first party, and the City of Red- <br />wood City,•a municipal corporation in the County of San Mateo, State <br />of California, second party, be and the same is hereby accepted by <br />said City of Redwood City, and the Clerk of said City is hereby author- <br />ized and directed to have said Quitclaim Deed recorded in the Office <br />of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California. <br />The property is described as "Lot one in Block one, as designated on <br />the map entitled 'Jefferson Acres, Redwood City, California,', which map <br />was filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, <br />State of California on March 24, 1922, in Book 11 of Maps at pages 1 <br />and 2", <br />The following resolution was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman <br />McNulty, seconded by Councilman Christensen: <br />n <br />I <br />
