4.3.4 <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 2, 19+2 <br />8:00 P. M. <br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen L. C. Christensen, <br />E. A. Fletcher, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, Mayor <br />1 <br />H. F. Anderson, and City Clerk -C. W. Eltringham; absent Councilman <br />i <br />H. W. Edmonds. Also present were City Manager C. L. Dimmitt, City <br />Attornrey'Albert'Mansfield, City Collector Nelle L. Miramontes, Chief <br />of Police C. L. Collins, Chief of Fire Department M. E. Ryan, Building <br />Inspector L. M. Duncan, Superintendent of Parks Roger Walsh, and <br />I <br />W. E. Smith representing the Health Department. <br />The minutes of the -regular meeting of February 16 were -approved on motion <br />of Councilman Werder, seconded -by Councilman McNulty. <br />j On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Werder, it was <br />} <br />decided to accept the offer of the Peninsula Supply Co. to lease the <br />parking lot adjoining their building on El Camino Real, and the City <br />Manager"was'autYiorized to execute said lease. It was further decided <br />that this parking lot would be posted with one-hour parking limit <br />signs. <br />Communication from the Pacific Gas and Electric Co. explaining that poles <br />on Jefferson Avenue between Broadway and Middlefield Road had not yet <br />been removed because of inability to obtain priorities on materials <br />was ordered filed. <br />Report of the Traffic Study Committee was read by Ferris W. Miles, Com- <br />mittee Chairman. <br />Recommendation that „Right turn go after stop" signs be installed <br />at the 4 corners of the intersections of Brewster Avenue, Broadway, <br />flames Avenue and Jefferson Avenue with E1 Camino Real,was approved <br />on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Werder: <br />Further recommendation of the Committee that a pedestrian cross. <br />walk be established on Jefferson Avenue in front of the Post Office <br />building was approved on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by <br />Councilman Granger. <br />In connection with the Bayshore Highway -Chestnut Street inter- <br />section, City Manager Dimmitt stated that after'conferences with the <br />State Highway Commission it was decided to install blinking warning <br />signals at the intersection in addition to adequate illumination. <br />1 <br />I <br />
