The matter of prohibiting U-turns at certain intersections in t <br />the business district. <br />2. Prohibiting left turns on Broadway at the intersection of <br />California Street. <br />3. Pedestrian drossing on Main Street in the middle of'the,block <br />between Broadway and Stambaugh. <br />Request of A. S. Liguori for permission to extend Cedar Street to Spring <br />Street with a type o.f pavement similar to that used in extending Bay Road <br />and Beech Street was approved on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded <br />r. by Councilman Christensen. <br />Request of David Holder that the City divert water now running through the <br />8enter of Lot 1, Block 11, Oak Kno'll'Manor, was held over until the next <br />meeting to allow time for members of the council to inspect the premises. <br />There was read a letter from the City Manager relative to changing names of <br />strests in Lenolt Subdivision and renumbering other street§, At a previous <br />meeting it was suggested that Brewster and Hopkins Avenues be renumbered, <br />and in this connection the CityManager recommended that if the above two <br />streets were renumbered all other streets running west from El Camino Real <br />should also be changed so that blocknumbers would be uniform. •After discussion, <br />Councilman Granger offered a motion to change the street numbers on Breffater <br />Avenue which lost for lack of a second. It was then decided that for the <br />present no changes of the numbering system be made: Councilman Werder, <br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher, then offered a motion that no changes be <br />made in the names of A, B, and C Streets, Lenolt Subdivision. Motion carried. <br />Communication from the Health Department relative to property at 104 Whipple Avenue <br />on which complaint.had been filed at thq last meeting, advising that the prop. <br />erty was now vacant, was ordered filed:••,• .� <br />The matter of closing of stores was ordered placed on the agenda for the next <br />meeting. <br />Report of the City Attorney on the ordinances and resolutions authorizing the <br />placing of arterial stop signs was continued until the next meeting. <br />Request of Harry Hoefler for permission to erect a sign approximately 8 x 12 feet <br />on Southern Pacific property on El Camino Real near Hopkins Street was granted, <br />M <br />subject to the right of the Council to revoke same at any time, on motion of <br />Councilman Werder; seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />Resolution declaring Nuisance No. 194.1-2 (Weed abatement) was unanimously adopted <br />on motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />n <br />0 <br />
