- 4-t g The City Manager, in a letter addressed to the Council, advised that five bids had been received for construction of the sanitary sewer connecting with tYie North Fair Oaks outfall sewer and that the bid of Frank Pisano, in the amount of $6,095, was the lowest. Contract for construction was awarded to Mr. Pisano on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Christensen. This being the time set for hearing on Resolution of Intention No. 194.2-1, (Weed Abatement) affidavit of posting of notices was ordered filed, and there being no protests either written or oral, a resolution re- quiring the abatement of nuisances was unanimously adopted•on motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Werder. A resolution naming and designating'certain streets was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty. Application for restaurant licenses by Rebecca Lambert, 2090 Broadway, and Robert Sepz, 701 El Camino Real, were approved subject, however, to inspection by the Health Department, on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen. Application by J. N. Foulks for permit to hold a dance at the Veterans Hall on April 11, 194.2, was approved on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Christensen. Resolution accepting quit -claim deed from William W. and Kathleen Scott was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Christensen, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. Resolution approving diagram of assessment district under Resolution.of In- tention No. 194.1-3 was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman NcNulty. On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Werder, the City Manager was.authorized to execute an agreement with the County of San Mateo relative to tax delinquent property. Councilman Werder stated that about 100 feet of fence had been removed from the vicinity of the San Mateo County Realty Office near the northerly City limits and offered a motion, which was seconded by Councilman McNulty, directing the City Clerk to inform Mr. H. H. Weiner that the fence must be replaced by,the next meeting. Councilman Granger, seconded byXouncilman Werder, offered a motion directing the City Manager to work out a plan with the Standard'Oil Co. and Shell Oil Co. whereby the 'Climate best by Government Testft signs,could be used and controlled .by switches located in the service stations.
