bm <br />W <br />■ <br />0 <br />Communications from San Mateo County Blood Bank, National Housing Agency <br />and Federal Housing Administration were read and ordered filed. <br />Affidavit of City Clerk covering mailing of sample ballots and precinct <br />cards and the notification of election officers and the publication <br />of notice of election of nominees, etc. were ordered filed on motion <br />of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Christensen. <br />Following this, on instruction of the Mayor, the City Manager <br />and City Clerk canvassed publicly the returns from the April 14, 19/2 <br />election and Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Granger pro- <br />posed the adoption of a resolution, which carried unanimously, em- <br />bodying the results of the election as follows: <br />Harold F. Anderson <br />1823 Votes <br />Louis C. Christensen- <br />1011 <br />Evans A. Fletcher <br />1026 "- <br />Carl A. Britschgi <br />1385 <br />Sanford Ratliff <br />533 <br />George Solari <br />792 <br />Prior to closing, Mayor Anderson and Councilman Christensen expressed <br />their appreciation for the cooperation which had existed among the <br />members of the Council. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Christensen, <br />the Council adjourned sine die. <br />CWE:ES y� � <br />C.W. Anderson, <br />G. A. Britschgi, E. A. Fletcher, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, <br />W. M. Werder and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham; absent, Councilman <br />H. W. Edmonds. <br />Following roll call the City Clerk called for nominations for chairman. <br />Councilman Werder nominated Harold F. Anderson for Chairman and Mayor <br />of Redwood City. <br />Upon motion Councilman Fletcher, nominations were closed and Council- <br />man Anderson was unanimously chosen to serve as Chairman and Mayor. <br />'115 <br />
