Affidavit of City Clerk covering mailing of sample ballots and precinct cards and the notification of election officers and the publication of notice of election of nominees, etc. were ordered filed on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Christensen. Following this, on instruction of the Mayor, the City Manager and City Clerk canvassed publicly the returns from the April 14, 19/2 election and Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Granger pro- posed the adoption of a resolution, which carried unanimously, em- bodying the results of the election as follows: Harold F. Anderson 1823 Votes Louis C. Christensen- 1011 Evans A. Fletcher 1026 "- Carl A. Britschgi 1385 Sanford Ratliff 533 George Solari 792 Prior to closing, Mayor Anderson and Councilman Christensen expressed their appreciation for the cooperation which had existed among the members of the Council. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham; absent, Councilman H. W. Edmonds. Following roll call the City Clerk called for nominations for chairman. Councilman Werder nominated Harold F. Anderson for Chairman and Mayor of Redwood City. Upon motion Councilman Fletcher, nominations were closed and Council- man Anderson was unanimously chosen to serve as Chairman and Mayor. '115
