Britschgi, <br />E. A. Fletcher, F. D. Granger, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, Mayor <br />H. F. Anderson, and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham; absent, Coundilman <br />H. W. Edmonds. Also present were City Manager C. L. Dimmitt, <br />City Attorney P. A. McCarthy, City Collector N. L. Miramontes, <br />Police Lieutenant S. D. Wood, Fire Chief M. E. Ryan, Building <br />Inspector L. M. Duncan and Superintendent of Parks, Roger Walsh. <br />kThe minutes of the regular meeting of April 20, 1942 and the special <br />4 meeting of April 27, 1942 were approved on motion of Councilman <br />Werder seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />i <br />Requests of United Spanish War Veterans and Redwood City Post No. 105, <br />The American Legion for free permits to -conduct "road shows of a <br />f carnival type" were continued until the next meeting. <br />I <br />Donald Bogie, Chairman of the Recreation•Commission addressed the <br />Council in connection with the Commission's recommendation for <br />appropriation of funds in the next budget to purchase the old <br />building formerly occupied by the Police Department, move same <br />t <br />to California Square, and remodel to provide for offices and <br />meeting rooms for the several youth organizations. After brief <br />discussion, Mayor Anderson appointed Councilman Britschgi and <br />4419 <br />t9 <br />
