450 <br />I <br />City Manager Dimmitt to act as a Committee to investigate the <br />advisability and cost of the proposal and to report at the next <br />meeting. <br />The City Manager, in a letter addressed to the Council, stated that <br />Z. T. Thorning, present owner of Lot 18, Valota Park, had asked <br />if some discount might be allowed for immediate payment of de- <br />linquent taxes, penalties and costs amounting to $1388.74. This <br />request was referred to the Real Estate Committee for recommenda- <br />tion and report at the next meeting. <br />Resignation of Emma H•. Kalenborn as member of the Board of Trustees, <br />Redwood City Public Library, was accepted with regrets on motion <br />of Councilman McNulty seconded by Councilman Britschgi. Thereupon <br />the appointment, by the Mayor, of Mrs. Helen Myers to the Board of <br />Library Trustees for the unexpired term of Mrs. Kalenborn was ap- <br />proved on motion of Councilman Fletcher seconded by Councilman <br />Werder. <br />The matter of rezoning Block 1 of Sweeneyls Addition was continued un- <br />til the next meeting and the City Clerk was directed to ascertain <br />if the San Mateo Mutual Building and Loan Association desired fur- <br />ther action on its application to the Planning Commission. <br />Affidavit of publication of notice of public hearing on ordinance No. <br />/+73, t'An ordinance changing the set -back line on the southeasterly <br />side of Madison Avenue as to the area between the southwesterly <br />line of Lot 9 and the northeasterly line of Lot 12 in Block Lj, of <br />Jefferson Acres,.etc'T w`as ordered filed on motion of Councilman <br />RM <br />Fletcher seconded by Councilman McNulty. Following this, ordinance <br />No. 473 was unanimously adopted on motion of Councilman Werder, <br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />In connection with the house numbering on Alameda de las Pulgas, the <br />City Manager reported that the irregularity appeared to be outside <br />the City Limits and the matter had been brought to the attention <br />of the San Mateo County Planning Commission. <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Granger offered a resolution <br />which on roll call vote was unanimously adopted, authorizing the <br />execution of an Agreement with E. H. and J. E. Griffin and Joseph <br />T. Ryan as Administrator of the Estate of Cornelius B. Ryan for <br />lease of Lot 15, Perry Subdivision to be used as a City parking lot. <br />■ <br />A <br />
