i <br />Following adjournment it was found that further matters should be taken <br />up at this meeting and the motion to adjourn was minded by motion <br />of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />Councilman McNulty seconded by Councilman Anderson then offered a motion <br />recinding that portion of a motion passed at the regular meeting of <br />June 1, 1942, establishing the fourth Monday of June 1942 as the <br />date for opening bids for Broadway and Chestnut Street improvements. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty seconded by Councilman Britschgi, June <br />29, 1942 was established as the date for opening bids for Broadway <br />and Chestnut Street improvements. <br />Referred to the City Manager for investigation was the matter of placing <br />bicycle racks in the vicinity of the Redwood City Tribune. <br />Adjournment. <br />CWE:ES <br />C.W. Anderson, <br />Carl A. Britschgi, E. A. Fletcher, G. W. McNulty, W. M. Werder, <br />Mayor F. D. Granger and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham. Also present <br />were City Manager C. L. Dimmitt, City Attorney P. A. McCarthy, Chief <br />of Police C. L. Collins, Fire Chief M. E. Ryan, City Collector <br />N. L. Miramontes, Building Inspector L. M. Duncan and Superintendent <br />of Parks Roger Walsh. <br />Following roll call the oath of office as Co}incilman of the City of <br />Redwood City was administered to Walter W. Hilton and on motion of <br />Councilman Anderson seconded by Councilman Fletcher said oath of <br />office was ordered filed. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of June 1, 1942 and the adjourned meet- <br />ing of June 9, 1942 were approved on motion of Councilman Werder sec- <br />onded by Councilman McNulty and Councilman Anderson seconded by LU <br />Councilman Werder, respectively. <br />
