"AND NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that Monday the 19th day of June, 1939, <br />at the hour of 5:00 o'clock P.M. of said day, at the Council Cham- <br />ber of the Council of the City of Redwood City in the City Hall on <br />Middlefield Road in said City, has been and is hereby fixed as the <br />day, hour and place when and where any and all persons having any <br />objections to the proposed work and improvements described herein, <br />or to the grades at which said work and improvements are to be done <br />and made, or to the district proposed to be assessed for said work <br />and improvements, may appear before said Council of the City of Red- <br />wood City and show cause why said proposed work and improvements <br />should not be carried out and done in accordance with said Resolution <br />of Intention No. 1939-4, or why said work and improvements should not <br />be carried out and done at the grades as shown on the plans, profiles <br />and detailed drawings referred to herein. <br />The Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) newspaper published, <br />printed -and circulated in said City of Redwood City, is hereby designated <br />by the Council of the City of Redwood City, as the newspaper in which to <br />publish this Resolution of Intention as required by law, and the Clerk <br />of the City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and directed to cause <br />this Resolution of Intention to be published in said newspaper twice <br />as required by law. <br />The Street Superintendent of the City of Redwood City shall cause <br />notices of the passage of this Resolution of Intention to be posted <br />in time, form, manner and number as required by law. " <br />On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the following resolu- <br />tion was adopted: <br />"RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City, that in conformity <br />with Chapter 397 of the Statutes of 1931 of the State of California, with <br />amendments thereto and other laws, that the minimum compensation to be <br />paid for any skilled or unskilled labor for work to be performed in the <br />improvement of portions of Nevada Street, Katherine Street and Outer Circle, <br />under Resolution of Intention No. 1939-4, passed and adopted by the Council <br />of the City of Redwood City on the 15th day of May, 1939, which Resolution <br />of Intention is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of <br />Redwood City and to which reference is hereby made and the same is made a <br />part hereof, shall be not less than specified.as follows: <br />Per Diem Hourly <br />Trade or occupation Wage Wage Rate <br />Carpenter $10.00 $1.25 <br />Cement Finisher 9.00 1.12-1/2 <br />Engineer (Roller) 12.00 1.50 <br />Laborers E 6.00 0.75 <br />Laborers, Concrete 6.40 0.50 <br />Mixer Operators (2 sacks or less 10.00 1.25 <br />Truck Drivers: <br />2 yards or less 7.00 0.57-1/2 <br />3 yards 7.50 0.93-3/4 <br />4 yards 5.00 1.00 <br />5 yards 5.00 1.00 <br />6 yards 5.50 i.o6-1/4 <br />Tractor Drivers: ' <br />Up to 35 H.P. 5.00 1.00 <br />50 H.P. and under 9.00 1.12-1/2 <br />Over 50 R.P. 12.00 1.50 <br />Tractors pulling 2 or more Dirt Moving <br />Equipment 14.00 1.7� <br />Operators of Power Shovels or other <br />excavating equipment 13.33 1.66-2/3 <br />Blade Grade Operators (Finish Work) 12.00 1.50 <br />Power Grader, Power Planer, Motor Patrol 12.00 1.50 <br />Oil Distributor Boot Man 6.o0 0.75 <br />Working time for Dump Truck Drivers, Material Drivers and all Engineers <br />shall be reckoned by the half-day and full day, regardless of climatic <br />conditions or any other conditions. <br />
