474 <br />go <br />Advisory capacity to the City Manager pro tempore. <br />Councilman Anderson seconded by Councilman McNulty offered a motion that <br />it was the consensus of,opinion of the members of the Council that <br />Engineering experience would not be an essential qualification in <br />considering the appointment of a new City Manager and that the posi- <br />tion of City Manager need not include the positions of City�Engineer, <br />Superintendent of Streets and Superintendent of the Water Department. <br />Motion carried. <br />Payment of salary of C. L. Dimmitt in full to August 31, 19/2 was <br />authorized on motion of Councilman Anderson seconded by Councilman <br />Werder. <br />Joseph Smith, City Mechanic, appeared before the Council and asked that <br />consideration be given to increase his basic salary to $250.00 per <br />month. This matter was ordered held over until the next regular <br />meeting. <br />I <br />. Anderson, <br />Carl A. Britschgi, E. A. Fletcher, W. W. Hilton, F. D. Granger. G. W. <br />McNulty, W. M. Werder and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham.. Also present <br />were City Attorney Paul A. McCarthy, City Collector N. L. Miramintes, <br />Police Chief C. L. Collins, Fire Chief M. E. Rayn, Building Inspector <br />L. M. Duncan, Assistant City Engineers H. L. Winter and R. J. Clarke. <br />Minutes of the regular meeting of July 20th and a special meeting of July <br />28th, 1912 were approved on motion of Councilman Werder seconded by <br />Councilman Anderson. <br />n <br />
