5® <br />0 <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 22, 1939 <br />5:00 P.M. <br />At this Special Meeting held in the City Managers office, on roll call the following �- <br />were present: Councilmen H. F. Anderson, E. A. Fletcher, Win. Hohn, R. N. Jones, <br />P. A. McCarthy, G. W. McNulty, Mayor L. C. Christensen. Absent, City Clerk B. E. <br />Myers. <br />In the absence of the City Clerk, Councilman Anderson, on motion of Councilman Fletcher, <br />seconded by Councilman McCarthy, was chosen to serve as Clerk Pro Tem. <br />The Special Meeting was called primarily to discuss the budget, but no definite action <br />was taken. <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, the Clerk was in- <br />structed to write to the Governor and to our representatives in the State Legis- <br />lature concerning various bills mentioned in the Municipal. League Legislative 11 <br />Bulletin. <br />The City Manager submitted to the Council a letter reading as follows: <br />"Re: P.W.A. Project Calif. 1895-F: Wharf and Warehouse, Etc., <br />Redwood City, Calif. I have today made final inspection of <br />the Wharf and Warehouse and other facilities constructed by <br />the Miller Construction Company as Contractor and have found <br />the work completed in accordance with the plans and specifica- <br />tions to my entire satisfaction." <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Council <br />ratified the action of the City Manager. <br />Adjournment. <br />H.
