I <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 5) 1939 <br />8:00 P. M. <br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen H.F. Anderson, <br />R. N. Jones, P. A.'McCarthy, G. W. McNulty, Mayor L. C. Christensen, <br />and City Clerk B. E. Myers. Absent, E. A. Fletcher and Wm. Hohn. <br />The minutes of the meeting of May 15 and special meeting of May 22 were <br />approved on motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman <br />Jones. <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, -proposed the adop- <br />tion of Ordinance No. 4.24 changing the meeting place of the Council. <br />Carried. <br />After filing affidavit of publication, Councilman McCarthy, seconded by <br />Councilman Anderson, proposed the adoption of Ordinance No. 4.25 re- <br />zoning certain residential districts in Central Park and elsewhere <br />from the second to the first residential district. Carried. <br />George F. Paul, representing the Redeemer Lutheran Church, asked permit <br />be granted for the construction of a Church building at the corner <br />of Clinton Street and Jefferson Avenue. Permit was granted on motion <br />of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, with the <br />understanding that, of course, all specifications be in accord with <br />the building requirements. <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, proposed adoption <br />of resolution accepting deed from Anna Nink for Lot 52 in Block 5, <br />Vilest Redwood. Carried. <br />There was read a letter from Frank J. Reilly, the contractor in charge <br />of the City Hall construction work, asking that in lieu of his <br />previous request for an extension of 30 days that he noir be granted <br />an extension of 40 days up to and including June 17, stating that <br />the delay had been unavoidable. The City Manager concurred in the <br />request and therefore Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman <br />McNulty, proposed adoption of resolution granting the request for <br />the extension of.time subject to P. W. A. approval. Carried. <br />Andrew Sifuentes, 912 Arguello Street, requested permission to operate <br />an outdoor drive-in advertising business by means of camera slides <br />at the corner of Main St. and Cedar. It was decided, on motion of <br />Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, to make decision <br />at the next meeting, but in the meantime to refer the matter to the <br />City Manager to investigate and report. <br />
