McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, to have the House kept <br />open until September 30, and to pay the present bill as presented, <br />without prejudice to any one's rights and without obligation to pay <br />any other bills. <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman McNulty, proposed resolution <br />approving the plan of nickel -a -week contributions to raise money for <br />the development of the city recreational center. Carried. <br />Special City Auditor C. G. Uhlenberg, presented copies of the yearly <br />report of the annual audit, and also proposed doing the work for the <br />ensuing year at a cost not to exceed $500. On motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McCarthy, it was decided to renew <br />the contract for the fiscal year 1939-1940. <br />The City Manager presented request from the Municipal Band for the purchase <br />of two used Mellophones, $50, four dozen clips, $10, and six music <br />stands, $8.40; a total of $69.40. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Manager was authorized to make <br />the purchase. <br />The City Manager discussed with the Council the insurance for the city bus <br />line operated by R. F. Martin, whether or not it should be made on a <br />basis of $10/20,000 indemnity, and whether being carried by Lloyd's <br />was acceptable. On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Council- <br />man McNulty, it was decided to accept the Lloyd's coverage but with <br />the understanding that there be an endorsement with respect to Lloyd's <br />accepting the decision of the local courts, known as the jurisdiction <br />i <br />clause. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Fletcher, <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />Adjournment. <br />BEM: HAS <br />ki y Clerk ' <br />
