r <br />84 <br />The Italian -American Progressive Club of Redwood City in a letter to the 4 <br />Council signed by its secretary, urged that steps be taken to secure <br />the necessary rights-of-way for the extension of Cedar Street between <br />Stambaugh and Hilton Streets. No action was taken, pending a report <br />of a committee investigating this project. <br />There were received and ordered filed several resolutions and letters <br />urging that steps be taken to have an underpass constructed below <br />El Camino Real adjacent to the high school grounds. No action was <br />taken on these pending the report of a committee investigating the <br />project. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the <br />City Manager was authorized to negotiate with the County Tax Collector <br />for the clearance of several lots, and the Mayor and City Clerk were <br />authorized to sign the necessary agreement. <br />The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, <br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Adjournment. <br />i <br />City Clerk <br />BEM: HAS <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL i <br />OCTOBER 21 1939 <br />8:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll call the following councilmen were present: H.F. Anderson, <br />E.A. Fletcher, Ift. Hohn, R.N. Jones, P.A. McCarthy, G.W. McNulty, <br />Mayor L. C. Christensen, and City Clerk B.E. Idyers. <br />The minutes of the meeting of September 18 were approved on motion of <br />Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Anderson, the <br />Council approved map of resubdivision of Lots 21 to 28 inclusive <br />of Oakwood Park submitted by W. G. Frost. <br />Concurring in the recommendation of the City Planning Commission, Mrs. <br />Margaret Chapman of the Redwood City Highlands Company was granted <br />permission to subdivide Lot 2, Block 12, in the Oak.
