r 84 The Italian -American Progressive Club of Redwood City in a letter to the 4 Council signed by its secretary, urged that steps be taken to secure the necessary rights-of-way for the extension of Cedar Street between Stambaugh and Hilton Streets. No action was taken, pending a report of a committee investigating this project. There were received and ordered filed several resolutions and letters urging that steps be taken to have an underpass constructed below El Camino Real adjacent to the high school grounds. No action was taken on these pending the report of a committee investigating the project. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the City Manager was authorized to negotiate with the County Tax Collector for the clearance of several lots, and the Mayor and City Clerk were authorized to sign the necessary agreement. The approved claims were ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. Concurring in the recommendation of the City Planning Commission, Mrs. Margaret Chapman of the Redwood City Highlands Company was granted permission to subdivide Lot 2, Block 12, in the Oak.
