X/ <br />MM <br />Councilman Fletcher requested that police check into bicycles on sidewalks in the <br />business district, also the practice of bicycles being left in the middle -of <br />sidewalks causing a hazard to pedestrians. <br />Councilman Armstrong offered a resolution setting up a special.fund to protect the <br />integrity of the post-war development and improvement fund included in this <br />year's budget. Councilman Fletcher seconded this motion which was carried on <br />roll call. <br />Matter of abatement of nuisance concerning the Weiner Building on Arguello and D <br />0* <br />Streets ordered placed on the agenda for the next meeting. <br />Councilman Fletcher commented on the decided improvements in the resurfacing of <br />Hopkins Avenue and erection of header board in parking area adjoining Commercial <br />Way - <br />Claims No. 3044 to 3051 and 3055 to 3128, totaling $8,428.13, were approved for pay- <br />ment on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Councilman Fletcher offered resolution, seconded by Councilman McNulty, adjourning . <br />the 'meeting in memory of Mr. C. Miramontes and Health Inspector Hodge. Absent: Councilman C. 0. <br />Armstrong. <br />Minutes of meeting of September 7th were approved on motion of Councilman Anderson, <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />Communication received from the Highlands District Improvement Association expressing <br />appreciation for the removal of the pile of scrap from the Emerald City Service <br />Station. Ordered filed. <br />Application received from the Junior Matrons of San Carlos for permit to operate a <br />ruomage sale on October 15 and 16.
