S. Larwood who is a member of the Planning Commission was accepted <br />on motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Jenkins. <br />Report of City Attorney McCarthy on the matter of ±Bus Stops" was ordered filed on <br />motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. <br />City Clerk was authorized, on motion of Councilman Jenkins, seconded by Councilman <br />Britschgi, to request permission from the Division of Highways for erection of <br />two wooden shelters on Bayshore Highway near the intersection of Brewster Street <br />and Middlefield Road; said shelters to be erected and maintained by the Redwood <br />City Lions Club for the convenience of service men, in addition to two shelters <br />to be erected on private property on E1 Camino Real near Broadway. <br />Councilman Anderson proposed the appointment of Charles R. Schwanenberg for the posi- <br />tion of City Manager effective upon his resignation as City Manager of the City <br />of Alameda. Eltringham, ty Clerk. <br />MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 5, 1942 <br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen H. F. Anderson, C. A. Britsch&i, <br />E. A. Fletcher, W. W. Hilton, Louis Jenkins, G. W. McNulty, Mayor F. D. Granger, <br />and City Clerk C. W. Eltringham. Also present were City Attorney P. A. McCarth�i <br />City Collector N. L. Miramontes, Chief of Police C. L. Collins, Chief of Fire_ <br />Department M. E. Ryan, Building Inspector L. M. Duncan and Acting City Engineer= <br />R. J. Clarke. <br />The minutes of the regular meeting of September 8, the adjourned regular meeting of <br />September 14, and the special meeting of September 28, 1942, were approved on <br />motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Communication from Robert E. Callogg, 950 Hudson Street, relative to water rates was <br />read and ordered filed. <br />Communication from Mr. and Mrs. George Brewer, 601 Redwood Avenue, calling attention <br />to confusion arising from two streets named Redwood Avenue, one within the City <br />limits and the other just outside the City limits, was read and on motion of <br />Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Jenkins, this matter was referred <br />to the Planning Commission with the recommendation that the County Planning Com— <br />mission be requested to consider changing the name of the street outside the <br />city limits. <br />Communication from L.
