I <br />plans along the suggested line. On motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded <br />by Councilman McNulty, each'councilman will suggest the name of one citizen to <br />act on a committee to be known as the %r Memorial Auditorium Committee. <br />Councilman Armstrong commented onithe special post-war fund which is covered in the <br />1943-44 budget. City Manager Mead advised that information had recently been <br />em <br />received from California League of Municipalities that it was possible to <br />earmark=funds for special purposes by ordinance and that the uses°for which these <br />funds were intended could not be changed except by vote of the people. <br />Councilman Anderson stated this was exactly what he wanted done at the time <br />resolution was passed setting aside post-war funds and requested City Attorney <br />*McCarthy to prepare such an ordinance. <br />Councilman McNultyoffered a suggestion that some of the additional funds of the <br />City be invested in government securities. It was decided to lay this'matter <br />' over until after the League of California Cities convention where the matter <br />of investing additional and surplus funds would be under discussion. <br />Claims No. 3187, 3237 to 3293; in the amount $14,4447.64 were approved on motion <br />of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Adjournment: <br />I <br />R. L., Miramontes,and Health Inspector Royal Hodge. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, minutes of previous <br />meeting were approved. <br />Application for dance permit received from Court Madrone #159, F. of A., for November <br />6th and 13th. Permit allowed on motion of Councilman Fletcher., seconded by <br />Councilman McNulty. <br />Application for dance permit received from Eldon Algeo for Wednesdays November 3rd <br />and 10th, accompanied by usual fee of $5.00, Allowed on motion of Councilman <br />lJ�►� <br />Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Communication received from Peter Sorensen requesting an extension of time of 15 days j <br />and completion of improvement of Redwood Creek.
