MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 26, 1942 r <br />8:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen H. F. Anderson, C. A. <br />Britschgi, E. A. Fletcher, Louis Jenkins, G. W. McNulty, Mayor Granger, and <br />City Clerk C. W. Eltringham. Absent, Councilman W: W. Hilton. <br />Councilman Anderson nominated Robert W. Mead for the position of City Manager. <br />Nominations were closed on motion by Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Council- <br />man McNulty, and Mr. Mead was unanimously chosen. <br />The oath of office was then administered to Mr. Mead and on motion of Councilman <br />Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, was ordered filed. <br />On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the bond for the <br />position of City Manager was fixed at $5,000.00. <br />Mayor Granger submitted for approval the names of S. S. Mayo, Duncan Reynard, and <br />Louis Dematteis as members of the Redwood City Defense Council. Approval was <br />given on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br />Discussed and referred to the Board of Review was the matter of modifying the Per— <br />sonnel Ordinance, Rules and Regulations to meet Cityts practical requirements <br />during the present emergency. <br />Adjournment. <br />CWE:ES <br />C.W.
