I <br />,% <br />r <br />I <br />0 <br />1 <br />s <br />Councilman Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that the matter of <br />making a survey of parking lots that would be available in Redwood City be re- <br />ferred to the Planning Commission. City Manager Mead stated that this matter <br />had come up at the Manager's Convention and that it was a grave situation in all <br />communities. He stated that there was some discussion of parking lot districts <br />being formed. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Claims No. 3719 to 3766 in the amount of 009350.90 were approved and ordered paid on <br />motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />CouncilmanFletcher offered resolution, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, that the <br />Council adjourn out of respect to the memory of Edward C. Armstrong, 0. A. Britschgi, <br />E. A. Fletcher, W. W. Hilton, G. W. McNulty, Mayor F. D. Granger, City Clerk <br />R. S. Dodge, Also present were: City Manager R. W. Mead, City Attorney Paul A. <br />McCarthy, Fire Chief M. E. Ryan, Police Chief C. L. Collins, Building• Inspector <br />L. M. Duncan, City Collector N. L. Miramontes, Street Superitendent H. L. Winter <br />and Health Inspector Emil Stein. Absent: Councilman H. F. Anderson. <br />City Attorney McCarthy advised the Council there was a correction to be made to the <br />minutes of the previous meeting in regard to the ordinance governing -the rate of <br />pay for woman welfare worker. The correction should read as follovrse "Council- <br />man McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, moved adoption of ordinance govern- <br />ing rate of pay for woman welfare worker." On motion of Councilman IQcNulty, <br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher, the correction was made. On motion of Council- <br />man Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, the minutes were approved as <br />corrected. Motion passed unanimously. <br />City Clerk Dodge advised the Council that Councilman Anderson had asked him to explain <br />to the Council that this was the last meeting which he'would be unable to attend <br />and asked that he be excused. ~ <br />City Clerk Dodge read communication from Mrs. K., L. Bowen, corresponding secretary of <br />Y <br />the Women -Is Club, asking for permit toholda rummage sale on April 14 and 15, <br />at a site on Main street. On motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Council- <br />man McNulty, permit was granted. Motion passed unanimously. <br />0 <br />
