Request for permit to raise turkeys commercially at 127 Park Street received .from Harvey L. Deem. Councilman Armstrong, moved, seconded by Councilman Granger, that Clerk notify property owners on Park Street in a radius of 2.00 feet to appear at first meeting in August,to register protest, if any. Motion carried. Under Committee reports, City Manager Mead reported no action had been taken regarding planting of roses along S.P.R.R. Track inasmuch as azo motion was made at the time Councilman Granger made the suggestion. City Manager Mead also reported on curb at corner of Bayshore and Brewster Avenue i,.hich was epnsidered a hazard. A letter from John H. Skeggs, District Engineer, Division of Highways, was read by Clerk stating that he was arranging to have a.standard sightpost with reflectors placed at the corner which would eliminate the hazard. The remaining two pieces of property were discussed wiih the following results: City Manager reported that building owned by Mrs. Benjamin Fireman located on Lot 22, Block 5, Vera Avenue Villa had not been cleaned up satisfactorily. 0n motion of Councilman Armstrong, seconded by Councilman McNultyy Clerk was instruct6:d to write Mrs. Fireman advising her that if not cleaned up by the next Council meeting on August 7th, further action will be taken. Motion carried. City Manager Mead reported on meeting with Mr.•Meussdorffer regarding build- ing=at 1606 Main Street and Clerk read Engineer's survey listing the defects of buildings in question. Mr. Meussdorffer addressed the Council stating that he had no intention of spending any money on repairs, stating further that he would sell the property if able. He agreed to stipulate in agreement, in the event of selling, that old1buildings would have to be torn down. Engineer Charles Randlett was sworn by City Attorney McCarthy and gavethe 41 following testimony: Q. Did you render report on condition of building at 1606 Main Street at the re- quest of Mr. Mead? A. Yes. Q. Is your report correct on every detail to the best of your knovrledge? , A. Yes. Q.. Did you prepare a map to accompany this report? A. Yes. Q. Is this the map (showing map to Mr. Randlett)? A. Yes. Map was then passed around for Councilmen's inspection. Councilman Armstrong offered resolution allowing 30 days for owner to raze. or remove building, failure of such action resulting in Building Inspector being instructed to raze building and charging against property. Councilman Granger seconded the motion. Considerable discussion followed under question, and on roll call, following result was noted: Ayes, Councilmen Armstrong, Britschgi, Granger and Hilton. Noes, Councilmen Anderson and lioNulty, Councilman Fletcher absent.
