V <br />1 <br />Councilman Armstrong moved that the matter of used car lots on El Camino Real be re- <br />ferred to'the Planning Commission for their recommendation back to the Council <br />as tb what, if anything, carr be done to eliminate used car lots on El Camino Real <br />seconded by Councilman Granger. Motion passed unanimously. <br />City Attorney McCarthy advised the Council that a resolution should have been adopted <br />in regard to the abatement of the Casurang property. Councilman Fletcher moved <br />to rescind his motion to abate the property and bill the owner, seconded by <br />Councilman Granger. Motion passed unanimousl;. <br />Councilman Fletcher offered adoption of resolution to abate the property, <br />the owner to be billed for the cost of same, seconded by Councilman Granger. On <br />roll call, motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Armstrong asked the status of the Greenbach property on Copley Street, <br />City Manager Mead advised that the Council had denied I.2r. Greenbach a permit at <br />the last meeting. Councilman Armstrong moved the owner be present' at the next <br />meeting of the Council to show cause 'why the building should not be abated, sec- <br />onded by Councilman McNulty. On roll call, the motion passed unanimously. <br />Claims No. L436 to 4494, inclusive, in the amount of yp8,619.24, were approved and <br />ordered paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty,' meeting was ad- <br />journed. M. <br />On roll call the following were present: Councilmen Harold F. Anderson, C. C. <br />Armstrong, Carl Britschgi, E. A. Fletcher, Floyd D. Granger, George W. McNulty, <br />Mayor W. W. Hilton and City Clerk Ralph S. Dodge. Also present were: City <br />Manager Robert W. Mead, City Attorney Paul A. McCarthy, Building Inspector <br />L. II. Duncan, Police Chief C. L. Collins, Fire Chief 'Pd. E. Ryan, City <br />Collector N. L. Miramontes, Street Superintendent H. L. Winter and Health <br />. Inspector Royal Hodge. <br />Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Armstxo ng, that the minutes of the <br />previous meeting be approved as mailed. Under the question, Councilman Granger <br />stated it tiTt^as his opinion he had made a motion that the City Manager contact <br />the State with the idea in mind of getting rules and regulations for the <br />purpose of line electrical work. City Manager Mead stated he had done so and <br />that the next step would be to take this matter up with the Board of Review. <br />Motion passed unanimously. <br />. x. <br />
