Application for dance permit was received from Court Madrone No. 150, F. of A., for <br />dances to be held Saturdays, September 23rd and 30th2 until 1:00 A.M. Councilman <br />Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that permit be granted. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Application for dance permit was received from Yvonne Schlichtmann for dances to be <br />held Wednesdays, September 20t11 and 27th until 12:00 midnight, fee having; been <br />paid. Councilman Brifschgi moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, that permit <br />be granted. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Communication was read from the First Baptist Church expressing appreciation for the <br />action taken recently by the Council in prohibiting circuses and carnivals from <br />operating on Sunday. Communication was ordered filed. <br />Communication was received from North Fair Oaks Community Church expressing apprecia- <br />tion for action taken by Council in regard to circuses and carnivals operating <br />on Sunday. Communication was ordered filed. <br />Communication was received from Mr. and Mrs. Leo Fuller and daughter acknowledging <br />action of the Council and expressing their appreciation of the Council adjourning, <br />one of its meetings in respect to the memory of their son. Communication was <br />ordered filed:. <br />Notices of application for liquor licenses to the State Board of Equalization by <br />George Krithas, dba New Life Coffee Shop, 858 Dain Street, Redwood City, for an <br />on -sale beer license; py S. J:. C. Magnani and Edward F. Fritz, dba Magnani's <br />Corner, 501 E1 Camino.Real, for an on -sale beer and gine license, an off -sale <br />beer and wine and off -sale distilled spirits; and from August Sipignoli and Jame:: <br />Zaccanti, dba Redwood Inn, 755 E1 Camino Real, for an on -sale beer and wine and <br />on -sale distilled spirits license. There were no objections to the issuance of <br />these licenses. <br />Notice of application for liquor license to the State Board of Equalization by F. <br />Monisteri, 768 Woodside Road, was received. The Clerk advised the Council that <br />this location was formerly known as Cal Is Place and that at the last meeting of <br />the Council a permit was denied Lars Anderson to conduct a restaurant at this <br />address. Councilman Fletcher and Gouricilman Britschgi were of the opinion that <br />a prdtedt should lie filed with the Board of Equalization and that they should <br />also be advised that the 'Council had refused td issue a restaurant license at <br />this address. Councilman 'Granger moved that the Board of Equali"zauibn be notifiwd <br />that application for restaurant license was denied predecessor and no restaurant <br />license has been applied for by the present oviner. He also included in his <br />motion that the Board df Equalization be notified as to the*reison for the Council's <br />action in opposing the application for liquor licensd. Motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Armstrong. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Application was received from J. F. Cuddy, Cuddy lJotor Company for permission to oper- <br />ate a used car lot at 570 El Camino Real, instead of at his former address 332 . <br />E1 Camino Read.. City Clerk Dodge explained that the Council had recently renewe(L <br />Nor. Cuddy's permit to operate at 332 E1 Camino and this was merely a change of <br />`location. Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that per- <br />mit be -)granted.
