r, 22 <br />Councilman Britschgi .offered resolution relative to State Legislative urged to <br />make provision for State to bear substantial part of expenses involved in <br />Civilian Defense. On motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by <br />Councilman Anderson, clerk was instructed to forward certified copy of re- <br />solution to Senator Harry Parkman and Assemblyman Harrison Call. <br />. <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Counciman Jenkins, permit was <br />granted to Ladies Sewing group in local S. D. A. Church to hold sale of <br />Christmas gifts Wednesday, December 9, 1942, at 816 Main St. <br />On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, amendment to <br />Ordinance No. 448, Parking ordinance, was introduced. <br />Amendment to salary Ordinance fixing salary of City Clerk, Treasurer and Auditor <br />at $250.00 plus war bonus was ordered drawn on motion of Councilman Fletcher, <br />seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br />City Clerk Dodge delivered to the Mayor Oaths of Office and Personal Bonds <br />covering the positions of City Clerk, City Treasunr and City Auditor. On <br />motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, oaths and <br />bonds were accepted and placed in custody of Mayor Granger. <br />Claims Nos 2087 and 2149, inclusive, in the amount of $21,241.78 were ordered <br />paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Councilman Hilton reported briefly on drainage at Perry and Broadway. <br />Reports of department heads were presented.
