work out the 3 -way deal involving the Southern Pacific Co., Standard Cil
Co., and the City to improve the parking facilities to accommodate addi-
tional cars.
Mr. R. F. Martin appeared before the Council requesting permission to change
the evening bus schedule to adjust leaving time to trains running behind
schedule. Permission was allowed on motion of Councilman Jenkins, sec-
onded by Councilman McNulty.
Councilman Anderson raised the question as to where information_ regarding
bus schedules could be obtained. Mr. Martin explained that until such
time as neer schedules were printed, a phone inquiry directed to Redwood
City Bus Lines, phone 2750, would receive the information.
Councilman Britschgi stated he did not think it necessary for Mr. Martin
to appear before the Board to request permission to make minor changes
in the schedule. On motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Council-
man Jenkins, Mr. Martin was directed to refer future changes in schedule
to City Manager Mead, such requests to be made in writing, Mr. Mead being
authorized to allow or deny such changes as he saw fit.
Claims No. 2187 to 2226, inclusive, totaling $39,414.93, ordered paid on
motion of Councilman PleNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher.
Councilman McNulty eulogized Mr. Daniel R. Stafford, retiring member of the
Planning Commission, and offered the motion, seconded by Councilman
Fletcher, that the meeting adjourn in recognition and appreciation of
Mr. Staffords half century of service to the City. Motion carried
unanimously.
RSD:MO
R. S. Dodge, City Clerk.
C
