Change name of Rogers Street to Whipple Avenue. <br />6. .Revise the street numbering system for Whipple Avenue, as recommended above <br />.for Brewster Avenue. <br />7, Purchase, by -,the City,•of Lot 139 Block 4, Range 1, Mesesvi]]e, at.the inter- <br />section of Hamilton Street and Pennsylvania Avenue to improve traffic oondi- <br />tions on Pennsylvania Avenue between Winslow and.Hamilton Streets.• <br />After general discussion,.it was decided that all matters Will be discussed <br />further at next meeting, March 1, City Manager Mead to check on availability <br />of house numbers to , take care of chafiges .in ,housenumbering in the meantime. <br />City Manager Mead reported on City Ambulance problem advising that Committee had met <br />and considered the matter from all angles. Mr. Mead advised further that <br />County had guaranteed 0125.00 business per month, and that it would be necessa: <br />for�the City to contribute toward a fund to guarantee service. Cities of 1�n <br />0e2!los and Atherton had been. -approached 'but were not able to report back at <br />thi s ti me.. <br />On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the City <br />will pay to Yellow Cab Co. the sum of #75.00' per month, -which in addition to <br />the amount guaranteed by the County and additional assistance from San Carlos <br />and Atherton and pertain private industries, will guarantee 2 ambulance stand. <br />_by service, 24 hours per day, It being understood the appropriation was a war <br />measure only, to continue solely at the pleasure of the, Council. <br />On motion of Councilman Andersons seconded by Councilman Hilton, recommendation of <br />City Manager Mead regarding Victory Garden water rates be.aecepted, and Mr. <br />Mead was directed tb take.the necessary steps to place the plan in operation. <br />1 <br />On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Anderson, affidavit• of <br />G <br />y publication of Notice of Public Hearing on Ordinance changing the name of <br />'9 Montgomery Street to Winklebleek Street was ordered filed. <br />s On motion of Councilman -Anderson, seconded by Counoilman Pletcher, Ordinance No. 487 As.� <br />was adopted unanimously upon roll call. IBJ <br />On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, affidavit of publi. <br />cation of Notice of Public Hearing on Ordinance regulating the posting of ad. <br />vertisement s, notices, postero, etc., was ordered filed. <br />On motion of Councilman Hilton, seconded by Councilman McNulty, Ordinance No. 488 ' <br />• was adopted unanimously upon roll call. mag <br />City Attorney•McCarthy offered for consideration resolution providing for the placing <br />of "No U Turn" signs at the intersection of the following streets: <br />Main Street and Maple Street <br />Main Street and Middlefield Road <br />Main Street and Stambaugh Street <br />Main Street and Broadway <br />Broadway and Jefferson Avenue <br />Broadway and Middlefield Road <br />Broadway and Hamilton, Street <br />Broadway and Winslow Street <br />
