Councilman Britschgi requested information relative to ordinance covering dumping of <br />rubbish in lots, asking the City Attorney to report back at the next meeting <br />whether or not there were penalties attached to this misdemeanor. �. <br />This meeting, April 5, was the date set for hearing objections to the weed abatement <br />act. One citizen appeared, Mr. A. C. Partidos of 466 Quartz Street, stating that <br />last year the weeds in front of his property had been cleaned up but at least two <br />previous years no work had been done on the street. Mr. Partidoe was assured that <br />this would be checked into very carefully this year. There being no further <br />objections, affidavit of Mr. H. L. Winter, Street.Superintendent, was offered to <br />the effect that all property had been posted. This affidavit was ordered' -filed <br />on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, <br />Couilman Britschgi moved adoption of resolution offered by Councilman Fletcher, <br />covering weed abatement program for this year. <br />City Manager Mead requested authority to transfer 0600 from the general.fund to'the <br />Fire Department to cover cost of repairs to. pumper. This was authorized on motion <br />of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br />On motion of Councilman Jenkins, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, City Manager was <br />d authorized to transfer $400 from non personnel funds to the personnel fund with- <br />in the.Recreation Department budget, <br />lA communication from Chamber of Commerce requesting $55.00 to be expended for an <br />advertisement in the annual blue book of California Real Estate Association for <br />the month of ?Tune was allowed on motion of Councilman Fletbher, seconded by <br />Councilman Jenkins. <br />On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, claims numbers <br />2425 to 2487, inclusive, amount $5,317.17, were ordered paid. <br />Adjournment. <br />R.
