Y <br />i <br />Resolution offered on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, <br />covering quit -claim deed executed by Mr. C. H. Gray covering transfer of Lot 6, <br />Block 2, as shown on map entitled Jefferson Acres, Redwood City, California, <br />v <br />filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Mateo County, March 24, 1922,, <br />in book 11 of Maps at Pages 1 and 2. Resolution adopted on unanimous roll call, <br />A <br />ii <br />On motion of Councilman Pletcher, seconded by Councilman NoNulty, resolution offered <br />r <br />covering grant deed executed by the Doxsee Company covering transfer of Lots 4 an <br />5 in Block 7 as shown on that certain map entitled Map No. 1 of Central Park, <br />Redwood City, San Mateo County, California, filed in the office of the County <br />Recorder of San Mateo County on August 3, 1911, in Book 7 -of Maps on Page 45, <br />Resolution adopj;ed on unanimous roll call. <br />Councilman Britschgi commented on early closing of Yacht Harbor to citizens operating <br />boats suggesting relaxation on regulations which will allow the Boat owners to <br />work on their boats in the Yacht Harbor during the summer evenings at least until <br />dark. It was explained that the Harbor was officially closed by the Coast Guard <br />at sundown and the boat operators would not be allowed tosail their boats during <br />the period from sundown.to sunrise, furthermore that no one would be allowed to <br />leave the Harbor without Proper Coast Guard credentials. After thorough discuss!( <br />4 <br />it was decided that the matter would be taken up with the Recreation Commission f <br />study and report to be presented at`the next meeting. Copy of correspondence to <br />be.sent. to the Yacht Club to notify them that the Council was endeavoring to <br />further their interest in the project. Agenda., <br />Mayor Granger requested information whether or not arty available funds could be used <br />for the purchase of government bonds. City Treasurer and City Manager will .check <br />and report back at the next meeting. <br />. r ♦ r s r <br />On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman.Fletcher, Building Inspector <br />Duncan was instructed to check the old Hynding Barn which is considered to be a <br />menace and fire hazard. Old barn on Cassia and Heller•Streets will also be in- <br />spected and will be reported upon at next meeting. <br />Mayor Granger commenting on the recent forced landing of an ,Army Pilot near Friendly <br />Acres suggested the possiblity of the City blading off a, strip through the old <br />airport property to make an emergency landing field, suggesting that the City <br />Manager contact the property owners for permission to undertake this work. On <br />motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman McNulty, City Manager Meadl <br />was directed to contact C.A.A. in regard to this matter and report back.at the <br />next meeting. <br />Mr..B..W. McCann, former director of the municipal Band appeared before the Council <br />• stating that when he took over the Band, he was informed that a brass bass was in <br />use which was the property of Mrs. Borquin, 315 5th Avenue., suggebting that the <br />City Manager contact this party and arrive at a satisfactory price for same. Mr. <br />advised the Council further that he wou d be unable to devote his time <br />McCann v C �. <br />collecting uniforms, and instruments on his own time. Mr. McCann read to the <br />Council the letter which he received from -the City Clerk requesting that he <br />account for all uniforms and instruments, advising him that upon receipt of this <br />j <br />
