6 <br />.11 <br />ti <br />On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, affidavit of posting <br />and mailing of abatement notice covering building situated on a portion of Lot 6, <br />Block 79, Eastern Addition was ordered filed. <br />Resolution declaring the building mentioned above a public nuisance was, on <br />motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, adopted by the <br />Council on roll call. <br />Councilman Britschgi, commented on the fact that the house at 1926 Jefferson had never <br />been completed and presented an unsightly condition. City Manager Mead and <br />Building Inspector Duncan will investigate and report -at the next meeting. <br />Councilman Hilton requested information on the old service station building on Arguello <br />Street in Lenolt Tract. Clerk was directed to check on minutes covering permit <br />and report at next meeting. ° <br />Attorney Edmund Scott appeared in behalf of Mr. R.'R. Brooks, proprietor of Top Hat <br />Bar, who was cited to appear before the Council to show cause why his restaurant <br />license should not be revoked. Mr. Scott advised negotiations of a sale of the <br />business was under way and requested the Council to -postpone action until the <br />next regular meeting. On motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman <br />Britschgi, request was granted. <br />too report having been received from Recreation Commission, Councilman Anderson moved, <br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher, that owners be allowed to work on their boats at <br />the Yacht Harbor until dark, subject to the approval of the Recreation Commission.. <br />City Manager Mead submitted for reading communication received from Mr. R. W. F. <br />Schmidt, Superintendent of Airports Service, regarding the advisability of the. <br />City constructing an emergency airport.° Mr. Schmidt advised his department was at <br />this time conducting a survey of the entire San Francisco and San Pablo Bay area <br />with a view to developing a long range master airport plan, stating further that <br />Dist. Airport Engineer Ray I. Hess would contact Mr. Mead in the near future to <br />• M <br />discuss the matter. <br />Vtr. W. L. Meussdorffer appeared before the board to register complaint against con- <br />tinuation of building and sign at 2500 El Camino Real. Clerk was, instructed,to <br />look up minutes recording original permit. <br />Mr. Meussdorffer stated the sidewalks fronting his property were cracked and <br />in bad condition. City Manager Mead directed to check into this matter. He also <br />stated that cars were parked on El Camino Real between Hemlock and Center Streets <br />at long intervals interferring with his business and suggested the area be limited <br />to two-hour parking. On motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman <br />Anderson, matter was referred to Traffic Committee. <br />','he Mayor suggested that City Manager check into the possibility of the lot betweenY <br />Greyhound Bus Station and E1 Camino Real be graded to make further space for. <br />parking of automobiles. <br />slity Attorney McCarthy advised the building on the Lown property had been accepted by <br />the Port and same would be removed in the near future. <br />Councilman Britschgi called attention to large and unsightly scrap pile located on <br />0_ Woodside Road, near Sam Gold's place of business. Clerk was instructed to write M_--. <br />Gold and ascertain when he expected to have this scrap pile removed. <br />
