t <br />Communication was read from the Citizen's Traffic Committee recommending diagonal <br />parking on the'following streets to be -changed to parallel: <br />1. Brewster from E1 Camino Real to Arch. <br />2. Arch from Brewster to Broadway. <br />3. Northerly side of Broadway from Arch to El Camino Real. <br />City Attorney McCarthy will prepare ordinance which will be presented. at the next <br />meeting. <br />Councilman Fletcher stated that he would have in his office, for the balance of the <br />week, a map of San, Mateo County published in the year 1577 which he considered <br />would be of interest,to anyone who might wish to call and see same. <br />I <br />Councilman.Britschgi commented on night parking on streets and was advised by. Police <br />Chief Collins that many of the cars were property of defense workers working on <br />awing and. graveyard shifts. <br />City Manager. Mead. announced that Colonel Skeggs had requested that a meeting be held <br />on Monday evening, July 12th, at which time the proposed Bayshore free way would <br />be discussed by Highway Department engineers. Inasmuch as some of the members of <br />the Council could not' be present on Monday, the 12th, it was decided that City <br />Manager Mead would contact Colonel Skeggs in an effort to have the date changed <br />to Tuesday, July 13th. <br />On motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman McNulty, monthly departmental <br />reports were ordered filed. <br />Claims Nos. 2827 to 2852, inclusive, totaling $19,008.83, were approved on motion of <br />Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />On motion of Councilman Bristchgi, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, meeting was <br />adjourned to Tuesday, July 13th, at 8:00 P. -M. <br />R. S. Dodge, City Clerk <br />B <br />r <br />MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING <br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 12, 19+3 <br />9:00 P.M. <br />Upon roll call the following were present: Councilmen H. F. Anderson, C. C. Armstrong, <br />1. <br />C. A. Britschgi, E. A. Fletcher, W. W. Hilton, G. W. McNulty, Mayoa F. D. Granger, <br />and City Clerk R. S. Dodge, Also present were City Manager R. W. Mead, Building <br />Inspector L. M., Duncan, Chief of Police C. L. Collins, and Street Superintendent <br />B. L. Winter. <br />On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, adjourned meeting <br />called for Tuesday evening, July 13th, ordered cancelled. <br />City Attorney McCarthy advised the Council that he had prepared a revised ordinance <br />covering control of Traffic to and from Southern Pacific Depot which he had <br />submitted to Chief of Police Collins and Sgt.
