On notion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, matter was carried on agenda for next meeting, the City I Attorney being i.netructed to report on the matter, and the City Clerk instructed to so notify kir. ",reins and Mr.Kerstan. Complaint was referred by City Attorney McCarthy to the Council, regarding fire and morals hazards in building located in the 900 block on Brewster Ave, On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the Fire Chief, Police Chief and Health Officer, were instructed to abate I the nuisance. Motion passed. i Mayor Hilton referred Mr. Frost's request for assistance. in preparing prelim- inary work on sewage disposal plvnt to the Council, stating ,that agreP- r=1 meet was made to have City Engineering Department do the drafting. Now thct 'Mr. Clarke is in tha hospital, and no one available to do the drafting, Mr. Frost requests that he hire an engineer to do this work I. in his office. Councilman Granger moved that request be granted with F stipulation that there be a time limit of 30 days specified, and if at the end of that period, more work is required, application can again be made to the Council. After some discussion, Councilm-n Granger • withdrew his motion and Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by Council- man Granger that the matter be carried on the agenda until next meeting, and Mr. Frost be asked to attend the meeting. Application ;;zs received for a:uthori?ation to purchase new belt for street sweeper at a cost of $246.04, from City Shop Foreman McQuiston. Council- man Fletcher and unanimously passed that this amount be transferred from X1 i unbudgeted reserve to general fund, authorized by resolution. Unanimouslv passed on roll call. AUTHORIZING TF-A.YgFER OF PORTION OF UNBUDGETED RF.SFRVE TO STREET CLEANING DEPARTMENT. RESOLVED that the sum of $246.04 be ind it is hereby arthorized to be transferred by the City Treasurer from Unbudgeted Reserve to Street Cletan- ing Department, Account #4323, to cover the expense of purchase of belt for street sweeper.
