it <br />Granger, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, and unanimously I)assed, this <br />matter as referred to Parks and Rearea.tion Commission. <br />Councilman Granger requested thRt further report on street and sidewalk repairs <br />be carried on egenda. <br />City Attorney McCaxrthy inquired whether bids received from brokers on which a. <br />commission would be paid, on lots offered for public sale, being the same <br />as bids submitted by individuals, should be considered as equal bids. <br />Councilman Anderson expressed the opinion that they should be considered <br />equal and when a number of equal bids on the same lot were received, an <br />auction should be held, lot 2•oing to highest bidder. <br />Councilor -.n Granger recommended that consideration begiven to providing better <br />lighting at night at E1 Camino & Broadway. <br />Claims No. 5889 to 5938 in the amount of $8,890.51 were approved and ordered paid <br />on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher and <br />passed unanimously. <br />City Clerk Dodge res instructed to write the Sportsine ns, Club calling attention <br />to the old sheds near the Frank Tannery, requesting thet situation be <br />corrected. <br />Bill from San Francisco ';rater Company in the amount of $11,992.09 <br />was ordered paid on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman <br />Anderson, and unanimously passed. <br />Adjournment. H. <br />On roll call, the following were present: Councilman Harold F. Anderson, <br />C. 0. Armstrong, Carl Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger, George W. McNulty, <br />Mayor W. 1. Hilton, and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also present were City <br />Attorney Paul A. McOaxthy, Police Chief C. L. Collins, Fire Chief M. E. <br />Ryan, City Collect Nelle L. Miramontes, Building Inspector Laurie Duncan., <br />Charles Randlett and Street Supt. L. Winter. Absent: Councilman Evans <br />A. Fletcher. <br />On motion of Councilman Armstrong, seconded by Councilman McNulty, correction <br />was ordered made in minutes of previous meeting as follows: On page 4, <br />11th line from bottom, amount should be '1704.04 instead of $973.00. <br />Apnlica.tion for dance -permit rias received from Yvonne Schlichtman for Wednes- <br />day nights. October 3rd and 10th until 12 P.A4. fee having been paid. <br />Councilman Britschgi moved, seconded by O.ouncilma.n McNulty that *permit <br />be gr,pnted, subject to usual conditions. Motion passed, Councilman <br />Armstrong votingin the negetive. <br />Annlication for dance oermit was received from Court Madrone, $158, F.- of A., <br />for two Saturdey nights, October Sth and 13th, until 12 P.H. Benefit <br />dance. Councilman McNulty moved, seconded by Councilmen Anderson that <br />permit be granted subject to usual conditions.' Motion passed, Council- <br />103 <br />
