[Ul <br />M <br />the institution of a new complaint at any time providing assurance is <br />given that the installation is made as soon as possible at the Jefferson <br />Avenue and Maple Street crossings. Councilman Armstrong moved that the <br />City Attorney be advised to instruct the Railroad Commission that the <br />Council withdraws its aotion without prejudice in regard to the Rogers <br />Street crossing provided the Maple Street elevated house is installed. <br />The motion was sedonded by Councilman McNulty and passed unanimously. <br />City Attorney McCarthy made <br />a request on <br />behalf <br />of the <br />San Mateo County <br />His- <br />torical Association for <br />all records <br />of the <br />local <br />civilian defense <br />council <br />to be turned over to the association in order to preserve them in order <br />to show the action of civilians in this war. He said the association <br />would be very glad to have any such records which were no longer of any <br />use. Mayor Hilton advised that the records were all in good order buth <br />that there were none which could be turned over at the present time. <br />Councilman Anderson offered resolution and moved its adoption authorizing <br />transfer of 050 from the salary account to the motor vehicle account in <br />the Park Department. The motion was seconded by Councilman Fletcher and <br />on roll call the resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />Councilman Armstrong offered resolution and moved its adoption authorizing <br />transfer of $200 from the salary account to the supplies and service <br />account in the Fire Department. The motion was seconded by Councilman i <br />61! <br />Anderson and on roll call the resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />Councilman Fletcher offered resolution and moved its adoption authorizing trans- <br />fer of "250 from the unbudgeted reserve to the Polive Department motor <br />vehicle fund. Councilman Anderson seconded the motion. Councilman Arm- <br />strong asked if this was due to the extraordinary repairs to equipment <br />to which City Manager Mead replied that it was. The resolution was <br />unanimously adopted on roll call. tr <br />Councilman McNulty asked if something could be done in regard to the papers <br />from the Fat Boy Barbecue, saying they flew over the adjoining neighbor- <br />hood. City Manager Mead advised he had contacted the owners several <br />times and that the condition would improve for a time and then the manage- <br />ment became lax. He said perhaps the City Attorney could suggest some <br />method of requiring them to keep the papers picked up. City Attorney <br />McCarthy said if the Council authorized him he would issue a citation and <br />arrest the manager. Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman <br />Armstrong, that the City Attorney be instructed to have the Police Judge <br />Issue a citation to show cause why a warrant should not be issued for main- <br />taining a nuisance. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Anderson stated that a resident of Finger Avenue had reported that a <br />milk company was leaving milk bottles between the sidewalk and curb and <br />asked if the practice could be stopped.
