Councilman Armstronz moved, seconded by Councilman <br />Britscngi and passed unanimously, that cancellL tion of assessments listed <br />in the letter be apnxoved. I <br />Communication was received from Sanitary Inspector Flickheisen, regarding; san- <br />itary requirements at the Southern Pacific Flagmen's houses. On motion <br />of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Anderson, letter was re- <br />ferred to the City Attoxnev for report at next meeting. <br />Communication was received from the Traffic Study Committee recommending new <br />bus stop at Hinds Stationery Store. On motion of Councilman Armstrong, <br />seconded by Councilman Fletcher, recommendation. was disapproved, in <br />view of the traffic congestion at that location and the facilities pro- <br />vided directly across the street. Motion unanimously carried. <br />Communication was receives from the Traffic Study Committee recommending that <br />request of Mr. John Cowgill, San Mateo County Probation Officer, for 5 <br />restricted parking areas in front of the Juvenile Home, be denied. <br />Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, that <br />recommendation of Traffic Study Committee be concurred in. On the question <br />Councilman Granger recommended that letter be addressed to Mr. Cowgill, <br />explaining that while the Traffic Study Committee's investigation of the <br />present situation did not warrant establishing the 5 parking areas at <br />this time, when and if a new building is erected, it was suggested that <br />another application be made at that time. Motion unanimously carried. <br />Communication was received from Mrs. Roy Cloud of the Parent Teachers <br />Association, regarding selection of a member to serve on Safety Planning <br />Commission. Action was deferred until Mr. Randlett return to meeting to <br />explain reasons for appointment. <br />Communication was received from District Engineer regarding Kensington Square <br />District requesting additional service. Councilman Britschgi moved that <br />it be referred to Mr. Frost with request that he hove a report ready by <br />next meeting, Motion seconded by Councilman Armstrong. On the question, <br />Councilman Granger asked Mr. Dodge how much money had been received by <br />L� <br />the city from the Kensington Square District. Mr. Dodge replied $64.00 <br />had been received, with an additional $64.00 to be paid immediately after <br />the first of the year, Motion caxried.' <br />Letter was received from L. G.
