118 <br />Report of Traffic <br />Study Committee on Traffic control <br />in the vicinity of John <br />t <br />Gill School, <br />recommending the painting of "Slow, <br />School Crossing" signs <br />' <br />G'9 <br />on Jefferson <br />Avenue. Councilman Fletcher moved, <br />seconded by Councilman <br />pp <br />McNulty thst <br />report be accented end recommendation <br />be granted. Motion <br />; <br />unanimously <br />carried. <br />Report on Animal Shelter carried on agenda until next meeting. <br />Report on ambul?nce service carried on agenda until next meeting. <br />Report on bonding of city employees was submitted by City Attorney McCarthy. <br />CouncilmFn Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that bond be <br />accepted, and the Hartford Company advised that recommendations made by <br />the City Attorney be followed. ?,lotion unanimously carried. <br />City Clerk Dodge reported that by paying two years' premium on the Hartford <br />policy, a saving of $96.00 would be affected. As there is not sufficient <br />funds in the budget to provide for two years' premium, on motion of- <br />CouncilA=strong, seconded by Councilman Granger, and unanimously passed, <br />1 <br />it was agreed to transfer amount of second year's premium from unbudgeted <br />i <br />reserve to cover the additional ex_oense. Resolution will be presented ;I <br />when bill is received. <br />Councilman Granger moved that electrical department take necessary steps to <br />prepare for installations when time hermits, on Boicelli Avenue, and at <br />that time transfer the funds from the unbudgeted reserve to complete the <br />job. Motion seconded by Councilman Fletcher hnd unanimously carried. <br />Councilman Mc Nulty inquired about the lighting installation on the other side <br />of the street. Chief Collins recommended that it be left to guard against <br />road nazards and accidents there. Councilman Granger moved, seconded by <br />Councilman Anderson,and unanimously carried that the matter of improved <br />street liahting.on the on-oosite side to that which the city will provide <br />for, be referred to the County Manager, asking him to give some consider- <br />ation to its execution. <br />Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilmen Britschgi, and unanimously <br />carried, that matter of city employees residing outside city limits, be <br />carried on agenda. <br />Councilman McNulty moved, seconded by Councilm-.n Britscngi, that matter of re- <br />pealing civilian defense ordinances be carried on <agendauntil the .,Tar <br />Council meets and makes its recommendations. On the question, Councilman <br />Granger stated that the Attorney General now had under consideration the <br />matter of providing,fox protection of volunteers injured in natural <br />disasters, who.h^ve been protected under civilian defense registr^tion. <br />There bein7 no objection, matter was carried on ;agenda.. <br />Councilmfn Armstron; moven'., seconded big Councilm-n Fletcher tn�t report on ILI <br />sale of lots submitted by City Collector ?diramontes be approved. Motion <br />unanimously carried. Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, <br />offered resolution. Carried unanimously on toll call. <br />
