120 <br />letter from Mr. Green and the Pla,nninr Commission be incorpor,-ted in <br />the minutes. <br />Redwood City Council <br />Redwood City, California. <br />Gentlemen: <br />In connection with our a pliccticn for approval of the resubdivision <br />of Lot # 9, Williams, Wooster & Montpomery Tract, into twenty-three <br />(23) building sites, we nerewitr. wish to inform. the City Council <br />that we are agreeable to the recommendation of the Planning Commission <br />that trees be planted as suggested by the City Park Department. <br />We also agree herewith to furnish any Bond that might be required to <br />guarantee the installation of the Street Improvements in confirmity <br />with the requirements of the City Eng'ineer's office. <br />It is our intention to call for Bids on the Improvements at once, in <br />hope that tire will be able to have the construction of the new street <br />started before the .linter rains set in; therefore we would appreciate <br />it greatly if the Council will give our-n-olication consideration at <br />the earliest *possible moment. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Greene Bros. <br />By: Ranh H. Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Anderson, moved that <br />it be placed on agenda until next meeting, Mr. "7.illiams brought out the <br />fact that he had consulted Buildinp� Ins_oector Dunc^.n before proceeding and <br />and had been advised he could build aaraxe on th^t location indicated on <br />blue prints. City Attorney McCarthy and Building: Insnector Duncnn could <br />not locate nnytting in the ordinance that specifically ruled rgainst this. <br />Councilman Granger then moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson that per- <br />mit be grFntea; if neighborsoccupying house on left side furnish building <br />insr)ector with satisfactory evidence that they do not object to location <br />of garage. Motion carried.. <br />f <br />On motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman McNulty, offer of <br />property on Chestnut Street to Recreation Commission eras carried on <br />agenda. <br />On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Anderson, last three <br />items on agenda were carried over until next meeting. <br />City ?Lttorney McCarthy reported on contrcct oetv,een city orn. Mr. ;:g. G. Frost, <br />which he stated he had submitted to Councilman _irmstrona. The 1 -tier <br />questioned only one -o-rt, t not referring to haying : fee to Mr. Frost, <br />bcsed on an estimated coat of $300,000, when it :^aG 1,oFsicle the .-ork <br />would cost 8250,000 or possibly less. Attorney HcOarthy strted that he <br />felt that ,%ould be acceptable to Mr. Frost, Ls ^11 he wants is to be <br />assured that he will not h-;ve to Tait for a long period of time for his <br />commission. If the work cost -pore than $250,000 he colil.d collpot his <br />commission up to250,n00, until the cont:^ct v.as let, and then he could <br />collect the b^lance.
