The motion was seconded by Councilman Fletcher <br />and on roll call was unanimously adopted. - <br />RESOLUTION <br />RESOLVED that this meeting -of the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City adjourn in memory of Lt. Victor L. Kandle, a resident of <br />this city who entered into the service of his country, who made the <br />supreme sacrifice in the defense thereof and. in the preservation of'ou.r <br />national principles. <br />r <br />Be it further resolved that the Clerk of the Council forward to <br />the family of the late Victor L. Kandle a copy of the resolution, and <br />that the same be recorded in the official minutes of the meeting of <br />the City Council. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at <br />a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of May, 1945, by the <br />following vote; <br />Ayes and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />resolution: <br />Councilmen: H. F. Anderson, C. C. Armstrong, C. A. Bxitschgi, <br />E. A. Fletcher, F'. D. Granger, G. It. McNulty and W. W. Hilton. <br />Noes and against the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />resolution: <br />Councilmen: None <br />Absent: <br />Councilmen: None <br />W. W. Hilton <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City. <br />Attest: <br />Ralph S. Dodge <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />I hereby approve the foregoing resolution this 21st day of May, <br />1945. <br />W. W. Hilton <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Councilman Fletcher offered resolution and moved its adoption adjourning <br />meeting out of respect to the memory of Clifton Riley, Jr., who lost <br />his life while in the service of his country. His family is to be for- <br />warded a copy and the resolution is to be recorded on the official min- <br />utes of the Council. The motion was seconded by Councilman-Britschgi <br />and on roll call was unanimously adopted. <br />RESOLUTION <br />RESOLVED that this meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Redwood City adjourn in memory of Corporal Clifton Riley, Jr., a resi- <br />defitoof this city who entered into the service of his country, who made <br />the supreme sacrifice in the defense thereof and in thb preservation of <br />our national•principles. <br />Be it further resolved that the Clerk of the Council forward to <br />the family of the late Clifton Riley Jr., a copy of the resolution, <br />and that the same be recorded in the official minutes of the meeting <br />of the City Council. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at <br />a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of May, 1945, by the <br />following vote: <br />Oyes and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing <br />resolution: <br />11 <br />
