Fletcher, Floyd D. Granger, George W. McNulty, T1fay_or W. W. Hilton and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also present were.' City Manager Robert W. Mead, City Attorney Paul A. McCarthy, Building Insneetor L., M._ Duncan, Police Chief C. L. Collins, Fire Chief M. E. Ryan, City Collector N. L. Miramontes, Street Superintendent H. L. Winter and Health Inspector Emil Stein. Absent: Councilman Carl Britsehgi. Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, thatminutes of previous meeting be approved as mailed. Motion passed unanimously. Application for dance permit was received from Court Madrone No. 159, F. of A. for permission to conduct dances Saturdays, June 9 and 16 until.1:00 A.M. Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, that the per- mit be granted subject to the conditions of the last permit. Under the question, Mr. Solari of the Foresters asked to be heard. He advised that by prohibiting the selling of beer at the dances the attendance was being our - tailed. He was,. of the opinion that the Foresters should not be made to shoulder the entire Iblame for an occurence which took place some weeks ago.
