<br />Councilmen Britschgi and Fletcher c -ere both of the opinion thet a subra-y committee
<br />should be foamed to relieve the present traffic condition. It was Councilman
<br />Britschgi's opinion that a. committee simil^r to that of the hogpita.l committee
<br />should be appointed. Oouno.ilman Fletcher moved, seconded 'cv Council!mryn
<br />Britschr--ii, that the mayor be authori!7ed, to appoint a study committee to study
<br />ways and means of ry. sub.:ay. Under the question, it was brougrt out th;,t this
<br />matter is one of the items under the master plan submitted by the Plix.rning
<br />Commissinn be appointed to the committee. It 1.vas decided that the committee
<br />should be composed of six citisens, the city manager, city attorney and

<br />of publication of ordin^nee repealin?` Ordin^ncns 457, 471, 478, 478 and 480.

<br />Councilman ArnRtrong moved, seconded by Councilman w?cNulty, adoption of ordinance
<br />repealing Ordinances 4b77 471, 478, 479 and 480. On roll call, ordinance was 11
<br />unanimously adopted.
<br />In referring bac'_ to the recommendation of the Traffic Study Committee that par-
<br />allel parking be installed on both sides of Maple Street betreen Middlefield
<br />Road and El Camino Real, Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman
<br />Britsohgi, that the recommendation of the Traffic St ndy Committee be accepted
<br />and the city attorney be instructed to prepare the necessary papers to put 01
<br />it into effect. Motion passed unanimously.
<br />City Clerk Dodge advised the -t it would be necessary to adopt .a resolution -author-
<br />izing the mayor and city clerk to recover Lan -am Act funde on deposit in the
<br />First National Bank. Councilman Anderson offered resolution ^nd moved its
<br />adoption authorizint-� the mayor and city cleric to recover Lanham Act funds on
<br />deposit in the First Nntional Bark. The motion :,�.s seconded by Councilman
<br />McNulty and on roll call resolution was unanimously ado -)ted.
