Fletcher, Floyd D. Granger, George W. McNulty, Mayor W. W. Hilton, and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Inspector L. M. Duncan Police Chief 0. L. Oollins, Acting Fire Ohief J. Lodi, Street Superin- tendent H. L. Winter, Acting City Engineer Charles Randlett and Health Inspector Royal Hodge. Apeent: Councilman Carl Britschgi and City 1 Manager E. W. Blom. Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson, minutes of pre- vious meeting be approved as mailed. Motion passed unanimously. Applicatign'for dance permit was received from Yvonne Schlichtmann for Wednesday evenings, January 9, and 16, until 12:00 Midnight, fee having been paid. Councilman McNulty moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that the permit be granted subject to usual restrictions. Motion passed unanimously. (a) Application was received from Court Madrone No. 158, F. of A., for dances to be conducted Saturdays, January 12 and 19, until 12:00 midnight, benefit dances, Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that i the permits be granted subject to the usual conditions. Motion passed unanimously. Communication was received from 0. F. Malerbi, 16 Jeter Street, calling atten- tion to the pavement in front of his home which has a high crown which has resulted in rooks becoming loosened at the edges. He asked•that it be scraped to prevent an accident from a flying rock, Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, that the communication be referred to the City Manager. Motion passed unanimously. Communication was received from the Sequoia Cab Company and addressed to the Redwood City Traffic Oommission requesting permission to establish taxi - stand at the corner of Broadway and Winslow. City Attorney McCarthy �. called attention to the fact that in the proposed taxicab ordinance matters of this nature were to be referred to the Planning Commission. In view of this, the communication was referred to the Oity Manager to be referred to the proper officials. Councilman Britsohgi entered the meeting. I Report was received signed by Building Inspector L. N. Duncan, Acting Fire Chief Joe. Lodi and Health Inspector Broil Stein regarding Health and Safety violations at 154 Opal Street and recommending abatement of the camp cook wagon which was being inhabited. In reply as to the procedure to follow to immediately abate the nuisance, City Attorney McCarthy replied that he was pf tie opinion that the O.P.A. had some jurisdiction over any tenancy and that he believed it would be proper to ask the O.P.A. to notify the tenant to vacate after which the'city could take steps to abate the nuisance Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, ,r that the letter be referred to the proper administrative official to
